ABOUT

The Running Store, Story

In the Beginning

Back in the early days started off selling Thir (That's How I Roll) Heads bands from the back of my car, and popup gazebo and table.

I then decided to expanded adding Thermatech  sporting apparel to the brand. One of my sponsors for many years and in 2022 TnT Sports was created. We re-branded to The Running Store in 2025, due to name clash a more inspirational name, the Running Vibes with a whole new spin, with ideas and of course Vibes.

Today we not only stock everything for runners (except shoes) Pure Hydration, Em's Power Cookies, Sub4, Karrimor, Feetures, Thermatech, Proviz, Ultimate Direction, Spi Belts, Injinji Socks and Sporcks sock, with some Tech Coros GPS Watches and Shokz Bone conducting headphones

We also print custom garments, from groups wanting shirts for City to Bay, to Clubs, Sailing groups and one off Custom Shirts.

using Direct To Film DTF transfers making them durable to the elements and everyday use.

Keira has been running for over 35 years, from the UK and living in New Zeeland for 10 Years, where she started Ultra Marathon running after completing the Coast to Coast 243 K (run, cycle and Kayak in one day, yep a long way) in New Zealand, 2009. 2010 Keira took on what was the North Face 100K now knows as UTA in the Blue Mountains, NSW and completed this 5 times.

2011 Keira finished her toughest race in the Sahara Desert, 250 K 7 days self supported multi stage race, What's Next?

2015 took on the "La Ultra in the Himalayas 222K at 5,300 altitude, accomplished 53K, DNF - Did Not Fail to attempt such race "Failure is not a Crime, Lack of effort is"

2016 saw her tackle the toughest ultra of her running career in the Tor des Geants 320 K, Again DNF at 323 K, climbed 23,000m and only a marathon to go to finish.

After her triple heart bypass in 2017 yeah right these things happen to fit people. She returned to run her fastest marathon and Parkrun times, and back to ultras with the Northburn 100 Miler, with 10,000 m elevation.

Just saying I know a bit about gear what works in parkruns to the extreme Ultras, I am happy to give you advice.
